Week 8 - MKTG 6101 - Class Overview: Digital Branding and Marketing

Image
As I am wrapping up the last assignments for the course MBA 6101: Digital Branding and Marketing, I just wanted to give a little look into my perspective of the major things I took from this course. My first impression of the course was that it seemed very different from most classes that I have taken. The coursework was substantially different, the syllabus was more descriptive than anything, and lastly this class had requirements to be engaged on Blogger.com and Linked-In. To be honest I did not have as much excitement for the class at the beginning, but slowly I started to feel a passion for the topics being taught each week as things started to pick up.  Throughout this course, I learned more about why it is important to study knowledge pertaining to artificial intelligence, marketing strategies, and quantum computing. These methods of learning more of A.I comes from reading the textbook, creating/editing/updating blogs on a weekly basis, and gaining experience at running my ve...

Week 8 - MKTG 6101 - Guerilla Marketing: Update on the Ad Campaign

Image
I nitially I did After a few days, I checked back to see how my Ad campaign was doing. I started the Ad campaign towards the end of the week. When I followed up on the campaign, I was met with interesting results:   From my perspective, I was met with more results, more clicks, and more impressions than I ever imagined. Though my idea for the site was original, and the purpose of the site was to create a template of a news forum-like website which was also thought up by me. Another thing interesting aspect, is that I actually have more plans to push this website much further than just an idea. This Ad campaign was initially done with the intent of test driving the Ad campaign, and personally I would say that comes out to be a success test trial . I didn’t really think that my site would have such an impact but I guess that I should never have any expectations when attempting anything. After these results, I have now learned that the best method to pursue these type of endeavors are...

Week 8 - MBA 6101 - Surfing the Tsunami

Image
Book Overview: For this week, I read another chapter of the book Surfing The Tsunami: An Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Options for Responding. This book was written by the professor of our class, Dr Todd Kelsey. Normally I would read over the chapter, and I would try to take some time to digest the material and find some level of understanding. In this instance, I really felt like I have a good understanding of the study of artificial Intelligence. It took a while to understand, but I gradually was grasping the concept of how Artificial Intelligence is used in marketing and I also felt that I was finding a good understanding to the different ways individuals/businesses can respond. From what we have seen, A.I has been growing in different areas and showing much promise. From these promising results, Artificial Intelligence will be around for a long time. For example, a couple ways to respond to AI are adept, adopt, or adapt. Adapting references is slowly using AI to...

Week 7 - MKTG 6101 - Chapter 7 Surfing the Tsunami

Image
In this chapter of Surfing the Tsunami, written by Helen Yu, we have an interesting segment that is geared towards having a better understanding of why it is so important to become more adept with AI. This includes the methods that the book teaches in the previous chapters such as balancing out your schedule/time, looking over articles and news reports to help build understanding and interest, and finally learning everyday towards the study of Artificial intelligence. Last week was an interesting chapter that I had to write a blog on, and I basically wrote about how I have been adapting to the rapid learning of understanding Artificial intelligence ever since picking up the book.      One quick summary from my blog is that there is really no shortcuts to truly understanding a topic of interest. It is best to learn and grasp the knowledge gradually and that way the information will be absorbed more naturally than if the topic was read over once. I remember that I also ment...

Week 7 - MKTG 6101 - Chapter 7 Ascend Your Startup

Image
Greetings Everyone! Hope you are all doing well.  In this week's blog, I will be explaining what I learned after reading the chapter 7 of the book Ascend you Startup. The main summary is dictated towards and understanding for other cultures and collaboration with individuals who are experienced in the practices/aesthetic of these cultures. These individuals who are experienced/enriched in culture has now become more of an asset, because once you have the knowledge on a certain group that honors a certain tradition it will only help out in reaching those people and conducting an ad or event that will give these people proper engagement and thus 'win them over'.   In the reading, there were a lot of insightful information that was dictated towards Cultural collaboration and it is because there was a need to explain to the reader how vital it is for any business to adopt these principles as it assures them that their audience and new customers will acknowledge how the ...

Week 7 - MKTG 6101 - Guerrilla Marketing Chapter 7

Image
In this week's chapter, there is more of a concentration on how there is alot of thought that goes into inventing creative ways to appeal to people, especially when using marketing. Having a more creative spin on things are said to have more use that will be more effective than if money is used thrown at the matter. This really speaks out as there has been a rise in small businesses, entrepreneurs, and start-ups. There is the element of capital that is needed, as funding comes as very important when attempting to market out, and this comes off as a challenge because there is not a-lot of methods around this fact. Now we have seen that there are other agencies and 3rd party vendors that might have more specialization in advertising for other businesses. These vendors were able to help design, track success, and implement new teachings into all these new ads. This would be a more promising investment for companies that lack the creative outlook/their own ideas of how to market itsel...

Week 6 - MKTG 6101 - Guerrilla Marketing Updating the Ads

Image
I am never shy from stating how I had a hard time adjusting into the career path that I am in now. That is why I made my site, Techlogservices.com as a way to bring people news, information, and opportunities pertaining technology and the growing market. When I created my site, I thought I was going to have an easy time running an ad and setting up my account. Unfortunately I was not met with such grace, as I started to run into issues at every turn.  Fortunately, I handed situations well and take some time to make sure I can fix the problem. I was finally coming up to part where I make my Google Ads account and start my ad, but I was met with a blank white page. I called Ads specialist and google support for assistance, but they were not to understanding to what was wrong with my account/computer. Most Ads specialist referred me to YouTube videos or the site Google.Support.com. That is where I began to start thinking for myself, and finally I began checking my settings and realize...

Week 6 - MKTG 6101- Surfing the Tsunami

Image
Avoiding Overload In this chapter of Surfing the Tsunami, the topic was pertaining how easy it is to be overwhelmed/ Facing Overload. This makes sense when referring to any new project/challenge,  as it is unavoidable. I feel like this is true when considering how much it takes to understand AI. When studying AI, it is common that you will constantly be learning new things, terms, concepts and etc. One advice I would give would be for people to find a focus on one specific project and investing most of your concentration on fully grasping the material before moving to another. By doing this, it will help any individual have a sense of pride when completing their first task, and motivate them to pursue the other projects at a better efficiency.   Burnout is guaranteed to be present in almost any workspace solely because we as humans are not built to work forever like robots/Artificial Intelligence. Personally I work with various Datasets and it can get exhausting reviewing ov...

Week 6- MKTG 6101- Ascend Your Start-Up

Image
Helen Yu's - Ascend Your Start-Up  For this week, the chapter we reviewed was pertaining monitoring the metrics of performance for your business and focusing on areas that show room for improvement. For the reading, Ascend your Start-Up,  the author uses Chapter 6 to motivate the reader into thinking about ways to formulate an understanding for your core business strengths. With this example, it does strengthen the idea that it is impossible to always be the best. This type of shining is not attainable and more damaging to the minds of those who internalize this philosophy. Even though it is not possible to be the best at everything, it is possible to secure a lead for at least one specific task. There is even an example of how Amazon, the leading seller in books & Ecommerce, has such promising resources when it comes to their distribution and how it was structured to be very reliable. This is an example of how a company will acknowledge a core strength within its ...

Week 5 - MBA 6101 - Guerrilla Marketing

Image
From this chapter, we understand that creativity in your marketing tactics must be present in order to become a prominent marketer. So as a Guerrilla Marketer, there is demand for creativity that has to be met. This demand for creativity does not mean providing a message that is too crazy or unrealistic, but instead that it should be made to understand the marketing process and how your targeted consumers will respond to this creative message. The best approach towards this is to have a broad level of understanding. First and foremost, we need to have an understanding of what our goals are when marketing our product. Without understanding, it is impossible to properly engage with the targeted audience on the product and thus you won't sell the optimal level of products because of how you can't provide a proper understanding of the item you are releasing/marketing. It makes sense that having proper understanding of your product will provide insight that can help influence anoth...

Week 05 - MBA 6101 - Chapter 5 Ascend your Start-Up

Image
In this chapter of the book, Ascend your Start up, the author has made it clear about her life and how she feels that luck played apart in her success, along with her determination to make it. She makes it known that these two words describe her life pretty well and she feels that one does not overshadow the other. I personally believe this is true when people say quotes like this. I have heard a familiar quote, when researching about the famous philosopher Sigmund Freud. Freud states, "I have been a fortunate/lucky man in life. Nothing has come easy for me".  Why I like this saying is because it expresses a  genuine honesty from those who make these kinds of quotes. These individuals know that their efforts were Important when dictating their success, but they also realize how luck was a factor in their journey. Then Yu goes on to mention that every set back is an opportunity to help people move forward in life. I think when she mentions this, she is det...

Week -05-MBA 6101- Surfing The Tsunami

To be able to function and adopt methods of Artificial Intelligence has large importance when trying to keep track wait changes and also maintaining a level of relevance to be held, innovations , and how marketable it is.  In this chapter of the book, Surfing the Tsunami, it is evaluates the company Amazon and uses it as an example when describing a company that released a new product. The company decided to release this new product that provides a mobile, handheld device, with long-lasting battery, and a new ergonomic design.  One design they had was so innovative, the Kindle Oasis, it came out as the thinnest, lightest, plus provide  free cloud storage for any of your Amazon content.   The book describes how successful Amazon became off the idea of this product they released. I was among one of the people who were around when the first E-reader was released to the public back in the day. I remember that I was not really enlightened to hear about the produc...
