Week 6 - MKTG 6101 - Guerrilla Marketing Updating the Ads

I am never shy from stating how I had a hard time adjusting into the career path that I am in now. That is why I made my site, Techlogservices.com as a way to bring people news, information, and opportunities pertaining technology and the growing market. When I created my site, I thought I was going to have an easy time running an ad and setting up my account. Unfortunately I was not met with such grace, as I started to run into issues at every turn.

Fortunately, I handed situations well and take some time to make sure I can fix the problem. I was finally coming up to part where I make my Google Ads account and start my ad, but I was met with a blank white page. I called Ads specialist and google support for assistance, but they were not to understanding to what was wrong with my account/computer. Most Ads specialist referred me to YouTube videos or the site Google.Support.com. That is where I began to start thinking for myself, and finally I began checking my settings and realized that Google Ads work better when running the Ads via Google Chrome. Once I made this change, it made all the difference. It was painful to know I wasted 3 days due to a small mistake, but nonetheless I started running my campaign/Ad today and I was truly satisfied and accomplished once I understood what I did wrong. I plan to use the mobile app since I find myself on-the-go a lot.

For my experience, It was overall good but when I called the Google Ad specialist I was not met with a long wait time. Rather my issue came from having someone who was helping me navigate where to go. I understand that there is no way for them to see what is on my screen and etc, but I do feel that the Ads specialist call number should work on a department to help me with minor issues that could prevent them from using Google Ads altogether.  Now that my Ad is running, I am not expecting too much from my first Ad, but I do expect to see a bit of traffic. Even if it is just complimentary clicks. One thing I will also mention is that the Google Ads specialist did a good job at explaining how 2 months or 90 days would be more ideal to gain results and its a healthy amount of time for your Ads be out there before they get an understanding of what the Ad could use to improve, and then he explaining how AI will then play a part.
