Week 7 - MKTG 6101 - Guerrilla Marketing Chapter 7

In this week's chapter, there is more of a concentration on how there is alot of thought that goes into inventing creative ways to appeal to people, especially when using marketing. Having a more creative spin on things are said to have more use that will be more effective than if money is used thrown at the matter. This really speaks out as there has been a rise in small businesses, entrepreneurs, and start-ups. There is the element of capital that is needed, as funding comes as very important when attempting to market out, and this comes off as a challenge because there is not a-lot of methods around this fact. Now we have seen that there are other agencies and 3rd party vendors that might have more specialization in advertising for other businesses. These vendors were able to help design, track success, and implement new teachings into all these new ads. This would be a more promising investment for companies that lack the creative outlook/their own ideas of how to market itself and would like the help of an experienced agency.

Lastly we were also introduced into the option of bartering. The chapter teaches us how it is the most common aspect for people to want to be in possession of something that has Return value on it. In other words, people will buy into more products as long as the item/goods can be traded for the right return. One other technique is using stations/and other ads methods. Maybe your local television or even radio stations, they will be likely to conduct a deal in response to a trade. If you offer some products, services. and merchandise than maybe they can in exchange for a ad, or some airtime. Even if they are not interesting in the products, it doesn't mean no one will. This is why methods such as Bartering were even implemented and other techniques were created to help make more effective ways for smaller size businesses to still thrive.
